I’m Mark, born, raised, and still living in Colchester, Essex, and I’ve spent most of my career helping businesses grow and thrive, something I’m genuinely passionate about. My background spans business development, sales, and management across sectors like financial services, technology, logistics, and more. I’ve worked with everyone from startups to high-net-worth individuals and public figures, always aiming to bring practical, tailored support that makes a real difference.
Over the years, I’ve led award-winning teams, launched new businesses, and developed systems that have significantly improved performance. I’ve run my own photography business, built and trained sales forces, introduced lead management strategies that boosted results by over 70%, and helped scale businesses by as much as 500%. I’ve also secured strategic partnerships, one of which brought in over £250 million in business and advised organisations such as Boeing and JCB. Alongside this, I’ve had the privilege of working with global film stars, business leaders, and sports personalities.
Currently, I’m part of the team at Let’s Do Business Group, where I work as a Business Advisory Manager. My day-to-day involves collaborating with businesses of all shapes and sizes to help them overcome challenges, grow sustainably, and tap into new opportunities, whether that’s through funding advice, strategy planning, or just being a sounding board when they need it.
I joined the RECAP advisory board because I truly value the organisation’s mission to make research-backed knowledge accessible and actionable. With a background in business growth and strategic development, I’m passionate about helping organisations like RECAP scale their impact while staying true to their purpose. I’m excited to contribute my experience to support RECAP’s work in empowering families, educators, and professionals and to learn from the inspiring work being done across the community.
Outside of work, I love to spend as much time as possible with my three grandchildren, taking photos of them and enjoying every moment. I love motorcycles and motorcycle racing, following racing in the UK for the last 30 years, even supporting several riders in the process. If I’m not doing that, it’s long walks, coffee shops, great restaurants, and great food. Oh, and I could eat curry every day!
